My third album. Written and recorded in my small bedroom.

On this one I was interested in pushing against whatever expectations the first two albums put upon me. I also wanted to create a different sounding record without the "band" sound, partially because my living situation made using the drums less than ideal.

I was influenced a lot by my girlfriend, whose love of They Might Be Giants and Devo rubbed off on me. A friend introduced me to Guided by Voices around this time, and I was very struck by Pollard's ability to craft short songs, so in a way this is my attempt at that.
